Unfortunately, I have been falling behind on my half-marathon training plan. Since moving to another country, I’ve been experiencing a huge mental block, and my chances of completing a half marathon this year are getting slimmer.
Due to weather and safety conditions, my only running option is the treadmill. As an outdoor running girly, I find the treadmill a massive bummer. I get bored running in the same spot because everything is static – no wind, no movement, no flow.
I managed to reach 12,5km, but mentally it was torture. I felt like a mouse running in a wheel.
Deep down, I know completing a half-marathon is achievable, but I would much rather run outside. I’m still trying to find ways to increase my distance on the treadmill. Does anyone have suggestions? Does anyone else struggle with the same issue?
