What are your biggest challenges?

We are officially in 2024!
Happy New Year, dear reader! Wishing you a wonderful year filled with joy and laughter ✨
I’ll share with you two of my challenges for 2024.
This year, I’m starting with a worldwide-known challenge: Dry January. It really feels great to wake up on the 1st day of the year with no hangover. Feeling so great, feeling so fresh and recovered.
So, this year, I’m taking a step further, and I’ll spend the entire month without drinking alcoholic beverages. I wonder how this decision might impact my social life, especially because my social gatherings commonly involve drinking. I guess I’ll discover the true strength of my friendships. Maybe they’ll even join the challenge.
This year, I’m also embracing the challenge of running a half marathon 🤗🤗
I kicked off my training in December, following a plan from Nike Run Club. I wanted this goal to be achievable because I also train at the gym and do yoga. Hence I have given myself a full year to conquer a 20k run, breaking it down into manageable quarters.
First quarter – 5k until March;
Second quarter – 10k until June;
Third quarter – 15k until September;
Fourth quarter – 20k until December.
This approach not only helps me measure my progress but also provides periodic milestones to celebrate. It’s a journey of dedication, discipline, and self-improvement.
As we step into the new year, I encourage everyone to set personal challenges, big or small, and relish the growth that accompanies them.
